Warranty tickets

Warranty repair tickets: link every return to the original job

Repairs come back. What matters is whether you can see what was done, when, and with which part, without relying on anyone's memory.

Put it in writing

Start with a written policy that covers what's included, what's excluded (new drops, liquid, third-party opening), how long it lasts per repair type, and how claims are resolved. Our repair warranty policy template is a starting point.

Record terms on each ticket

Note the part and its quality, the pickup date (the warranty starts then), the warranty length, and the IMEI.

Processing a claim

  1. Find the original ticket by number, phone, or IMEI.
  2. Confirm that the IMEI matches.
  3. Check the date against the policy.
  4. Inspect the device in front of the customer and note what you see.
  5. Open a warranty ticket linked to the original.
  6. Diagnose. The Technician proposes, the Manager approves clear cases, and the Owner decides edge cases and refunds.
  7. Log any replacement part against the warranty ticket.

In RepairAmigo, a warranty ticket carries the original repair order number, so the history stays together, and the original job is checked against your warranty period (30, 60 or 90 days, set under MANAGEMENT → SETTINGS → WARRANTY PERIOD). It's free. See handling repair comebacks, or download RepairAmigo.
