A starting point, not legal advice
[Shop name] limited warranty policy
What our warranty covers
- The part we installed and our workmanship for the repair listed on your ticket.
- Defects that show up under normal use: for example a screen that loses touch, a battery that won’t hold a charge, or a port that stops charging.
How long
| Repair | Warranty |
|---|---|
| Screens: aftermarket | ___ days |
| Screens: premium / original | ___ days |
| Batteries | ___ days |
| Charging ports, cameras, speakers, buttons | ___ days |
| Computer repairs (parts / labor) | ___ days |
| Console repairs | ___ days |
| Board-level / liquid damage | ___ days |
Warranty starts on the day you pick up the device.
Not covered
- New physical damage after pick-up: drops, cracks, bends, pressure marks
- Liquid exposure after the repair
- Damage caused by repairs or opening by anyone else after ours
- Parts of the device we did not repair
- Data loss, software, accounts and passcodes
- Normal wear, scratches and cosmetic issues
- Devices that arrived with liquid damage, unless written on the ticket
- Screen protectors and accessories (the seller’s terms apply)
How to make a claim
- Bring the device and your ticket number or receipt.
- We inspect it, usually while you wait or within ___ business days.
- If the part or our work failed, we repair or replace it at no charge. If we can’t, we refund what you paid for that repair.
- A warranty repair keeps the original warranty date; it does not restart it.
- We may check the marks on our parts to confirm the part is the one we installed.
Refunds on parts sold
Unused accessories in original packaging: return within ___ days with receipt.
Unclaimed devices
We will contact you when your device is ready. Devices not picked up within ___ days of that notice may be treated as abandoned, as allowed by local law.
This warranty is in addition to the rights you have under the law, and it does not limit them.

Choosing your numbers
- Tie warranty length to part quality. Many shops give premium or original parts a longer warranty than aftermarket parts. That makes the price difference easier to explain at the counter.
- Be stricter on liquid and board work, where a second fault can appear days later for reasons unrelated to your repair. Some shops offer a shorter warranty there; whatever you choose, say it and write it on the ticket. Before offering no warranty at all, check local law: in Texas and Costa Rica, for example, repair work carries a legal guarantee of quality that a written policy can’t take away.
- Track warranty redos. Some shops track comebacks per technician; it shows quickly which repairs or suppliers cause problems. If you’re thinking of charging a redo to a technician’s pay, check employment law first, since deductions from wages are restricted in Texas and Costa Rica.
- Keep the same days on the policy, the ticket and the receipt. Our repair ticket template has a blank for it.
